In an effort to hear customers’ frustrations and comments, New Jersey Transit’s senior management will be holding two “We are Listening” forums, which will be open to the public.
Recently, NJ Transit has been under fire from its customers for extreme delays of trains, as well as a lack of information during those delays. The forums are scheduled before Amtrak’s “summer of hell” maintenance program begins on July 10, and part of a program to increase communication with riders. Last week, the agency released its summer service plans, as well as a new website focused on service details.
The first of the events will be taking place on Thursday, June 15 from 4:30pm-6:00pm, in NJ Transit’s concourse at New York Penn Station. The second gathering will be on Thursday, June 22 from 4:30pm-6:00pm, in Hoboken Terminal’s main waiting room.
